In order to remove the printhead from the Lexmark printer you should follow the below steps. In this article we make you go through these steps one by one.

Removal of printhead

Step 1- Ensure that the printer is ON- You should ensure that the printer is on. If it is not then you should press the power button.

Step 2- Chose options- For replacement of the printhead you should press the options in the below order : – Setup button- Maintenance- Replace Printhead.

For Touch screen panels you require to chose- Ink Menu- More Options- Replace Printhead.

Step 3- Open cover- This step calls for opening of the print cover.  It has to be noted that if the carrier does not automatically shift to the canter then the printer is to be turned off. For this purpose the power cord removal instructions are to be followed.

Step 4- Press tab- In this step you should press the tab and lift the latch.

Step 5- Pull up- Pull up for removing the printhead.

Step 6- Close cover- In this step you should close the cover.

Removal of Power cord from improper printer-

If you have a defective printer then the below steps can be taken for removal of the power cord.

Step 1- Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet

Step 2- Unplug power cord from printer power supply

Step 3- Detach power supply from printer.

Method to install new printhead in the printer-

This method involves the below steps-

Step 1- Open the cover

Step 2- Pull up the tab on carrier latch

Step 3- Remove printhead from shipping container

Step 4- Place the new printhead within the carrier

Step 5- Close latch till it gives a click sound

Step 6- Close print cover

By following the above steps the installation of the printhead gets complete. These steps need to be followed properly for no issues in the installation activity.
