Sometimes while printing, Dell printers’ quality starts reducing. The quality of the print is occasionally uneven and occasionally fuzzy. So, in this article, we will look at how to clean dell printer heads.

Cleaning the print heads

First, open the printer cover to remove the print head as well as the ink cartridges. When you open the lid, you will see “The cover is open” message flashing on the printer. The carrier will also come to the center automatically when you lift the cover.

Once you have the print head with you, open the print head latch and remove the print head. Take a soft cloth and gently wipe it to remove any dirt or other materials. Once you have done that, you will need to close the print head latch.

After that, replace the print head along with the latch into its position. Next, press firmly on the print head. Install the cartridges again in its respective place and then close the cover above it.

Once you have done that, it should fix your problem. If not, you will need to try deep clean.

Deep clean cartridges

From the start menu, you will need to go to All Programs. When you installed the printer, a set of utilities are installed along with it. Among those utilities, click on Dell Printers. This will load up the utility software.

Make sure your printer is connected to the system and switched on. On the software, click on the Maintenance tab. From the tab, select Deep Clean Cartridges.
