Epson has officially launched Matte Black Ink for its ColorWorks C6000-Series-On-Demand Color Label Printers. This ensures sharp and crisp black text along with images which are suitable for manufacturing and warehouse applications alike. Epson has expanded its color label printing choices with these new matte black ink options for the entire range, namely CW-C6500P, CW-C6000P, CW-C6500A and CW-C6000A. They also come with gloss options and are ideal for warehouse and shopping labels. Sharp images and text are created smoothly on plain, matte or textured paper media.

On-Demand Color Label Printers :

Customers may select from gloss black UltraChrome DL ink or matte black UltraChrome DL ink which come with BS5609 certification and more durable inks that are pigment based. The gloss black ink is tailored for printing on a diverse range of substrates and matte black ink offers black text which is darker along with images for matte media too. The same yellow, magenta and cyan inks are used in tandem with both blacks.

The Product Manager, Commercial Labels, Epson America Inc, Bonny Rindahl, stated that several businesses are now waking up to the two-step and conventional printing procedures which comprise of buying innumerable pre-printed labels while ensuring the addition of variable black text through monochrome which are not efficient and outdated in reality. Epson does the job in terms of production of complex informational labels, shipping labels and other high-quality labels for products. The ColorWorks printers are tailored for vital applications and are printers designed specifically as color upgrades to thermal black-only transfer printers.
