Fujifilm has officially launched its very first square format printer for smartphones called the Instax SHARE SP3. This smartphone printer will be able to print photographs taken with tablets and smartphones on Instax square format film. SP-3 is the new addition in Fujifilm’s Instax SHARE printer series and is priced at Rs. 12,999. It can easily print out photographs in an aspect ratio of 2:4:2:4 and images can easily be printed from Android smartphones and iPhones alike.

These images can also be printed from Fujifilm digital cameras. Images are printed with resolution of 800×800 dots. The printer comes with the proprietary technology named Image Intelligence which may automatically adjust picture brightness along with a rechargeable battery. This can be charged seamlessly through a micro USB port and users may print 160 photographs on every charge. Fujifilm has stated that photographs may be printed out within 13 seconds only and new templates have also been integrated into the SHARE app which includes collages.

The SP-3 app has the ability to print 9 photographs on a single sheet via the Collage Template. You can also use My Template for integrating text into printed photographs. These images can be shared easily on social media prior to printing via the app which is also compatible with Google Photos and Dropbox. The printer comes with white and black color options and will be retailed pan-India. It will also be available on leading e-commerce platforms. The key difference here is that the Instax SHARE SP-3 will not have the conventional 4×6 photograph size. An unlimited number of pictures can be printed and these will be backed up in the phone library as well.

The Instax SHARE app can readily access social media accounts of users including Facebook and Instagram. Photographs can be directly printed from these social media accounts.
