Canon U.S.A. Inc. has received two prestigious 2020 ASTORS Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today. It has received the Platinum Award in the category named Best Email Security Solution for mxHero + Canon MFP (multifunction printer) and also the Silver Award in the category named Best Access Control & Authentication System for imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series + uniFLOW Online + Print via Cloud. Canon MFP has been adjudged as the Platinum Award winner in the first category owing to its extra layer of security attributes and control over attachments in emails through leveraging cloud storage platforms like Box (bought individually) for using secure file links for replacing scanned email attachments.

A cloud based service for intelligently managing emails, mxHero Secure Scan-to-Email may integrate readily with Canon MFP for enabling collaboration for customers in a secure manner while sharing, managing and governing information. This helps control access to attachments without any changes to the scan workflow of the end user. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series + uniFLOW Online + Print via Cloud combo has got a Silver Award in the latter category owing to highly advanced scanning features, enhanced functionality on the cloud, overall usability and stronger security features along with the flexible design.

The MFP and print management solution becomes a potent combination for enabling restrictions on unauthorized usage while safeguarding valuable information at the same time. With uniFLOW Online, administrators may establish their requirement for users to easily identify themselves while leveraging the Secure Print attributes so that documents are only printed when users are physically standing at the device in question with authentication, irrespective of whether the user has submitted the print job from his/her mobile device or desktop.
