Agfa is striving to expand its sizable presence in the United Kingdom (UK) through deploying investments in new showrooms for inkjet solutions. Slated to open in March of 2021, the new Rugby-based facility of 3,500 sq. ft. will be used for showcasing technologies to buyers across the Europe and United Kingdom (UK). The showroom will accommodate latest wide-format inkjet printing solutions and presses along with bespoke training and demonstration zones for the Apogee and Asanti software suite from Agfa.

Agfa will be using this site for demonstration of latest solutions within the Agfa Radiology Solutions lineup. Martin Tew, the imaging sales director at Agfa for Ireland and the United Kingdom (UK), stated that the DR business for Agfa is already witnessing widespread global growth including the UK and is offering definitive solutions for patients through low dose and high-quality images. The new showroom at Rugby will be vital for the company, enabling demonstrations and meetings to take place away from healthcare facilities which are already stretched to the maximum as per his statement.

Customers can also view the vast range of Radiology solutions in a centrally-based and highly impressive setting. This decision to set up the new store is a positive development after printing plate factories were closed down by Agfa at France’s Pont-a-Marcq and the United Kingdom’s Leeds. The site at Leeds has served as a major showroom location for inkjet printers along with being a base for the Radiology Services division.
