The most common error code is b200 in canon printers. In this article, you will learn how to fix canon printer error b200 all by yourself.
The B200 error on the canon printers indicates that the print head voltage or the printhead temperature is not normal. In some cases, the error b200 can also mean that the print head has been damaged and unable to be used or there is a problem with the cartridges.
The Canon printers come in 2 cartridges or 4+ cartridges. If you have 4 or more cartridges on your printer, you will need to follow the following steps. If you have a printer with two cartridges, skip to the next section.
Step 1: Remove all cartridges. Open the lid of your printer, and the cartridge cradle will start to move into the correct position for being removed. Remove all the individual cartridges from your printer.
Step 2: Remove the printhead. Since the print head is affected, we need to remove the printhead by lifting the orange/ grey locking lever on the side of the cartridge cradle. This will allow the printhead to be removed easily.
Step 3: Reinstall the print head. Clean the print head and put it back in its original position. Make sure that it is placed firmly into place.
Step 4: Reinstall the cartridges. Put all the cartridges back correctly into their slots and close any open doors. The printer will start reading the cartridges and print heads.
Step 5: Restart the printer. Remove the printer plug from the power source and leave it for a few minutes. The printhead and the cartridge slots will be cooled. Plug the device back into the wall socket.
Step 6: Do a Nozzle check. The B200 error happens when the printer uses the print head. So, perform a nozzle check to make sure that the correct cartridge has been replaced with the nozzle check. Once this is confirmed, you can proceed to use your printer regularly.
If the problems are not fixed, you will need to replace the print head with a new one.
If you have a printer with two cartridges, you should perform the following steps.
Step 1: Restart the printer. When the printer is in an error state, we cannot disembark the cartridge cradle from its location. Therefore, when we restart the printer, the error message is temporarily removed which allows us to troubleshoot the problem. Therefore, switch off the printer and turn it back on after a few minutes.
Step 2: Remove the problem cartridge. The error message b200 fails to specify the cartridge which caused the problem. So, try to find the problem cartridge and remove it.
Step 3: Replace the cartridge. The print head is a part of the cartridge in the printers. So, we have to replace the cartridge if we wish to replace the print head. Remove this cartridge and replace it with a working one.
Step 4: Do a nozzle check. Perform a nozzle check to verify if the cartridge is working correctly. If not, you will need to replace the other cartridge and check again.
